TIPS FOR GOOD PICTURES

1. Bright low morning or evening light is important. Afternoon light is too harsh.
9.30 am morning sunlight. Still there is squinting of the subjects as light is direct onto subjects.

2. People make a picture interesting. Not easy in this case but the Irish couple was kind enough to let me take the picture with their hotel doorman.

3. For hat lovers, buyers and manufacturers, they can see that the 3 subjects wear "hats". This picture is interesting for them. The Irish man's cap is from an Australian resort at Alice Springs. It has a right-handed side velcro-stripped pocket and a left-hand-side zipped pocket. "Maybe to put coins," the Irish man guessed. "Are you in the hat business?" he asked me. He had retired.

4. Short time permitted as the subjects get tired or clouds block sunlight.

Less than 5 minutes in this case.
5. Of 4 pictures taken, only this one was satisfactory.

6. Thank the people. The Irish couple is a happy couple.

"You are 50-60 years old," I guessed the gentleman's age. He looked young and healthy.
"No," he laughed.
"80 years old".
"You are way off!"
